Working for you

We can help you explore how aspects of working life can be integrated into the worshipping life of a congregation. Invite us to come to your group or church (during worship, or otherwise) to present our roadshow. By story, sound and pictures we show you some of SYWC's work and some of the issues faced by people in their working lives.

Do you want to consider having a chaplain at your workplace? We are open to requests and if you contact the office, we may be able to arrange it.

SYWC is ready to respond to requests from local congregations, Christian groups or individuals. These have included evenings on;- energy policy, stress at work, changing aspects of the city, aspects of women's work; and the social and environmental effects of our use of resources. An exhibition is also available on the Chaplaincy's work.

The library at the SYWC centre contains books, journals and pamphlets concerned with Church and Society issues and the ethics of working life issues. The pamphlets and clippings section is computer indexed. The library at the SYWC office can be consulted during normal office hours and books may be borrowed for study.
