Prayer from the Occupational Cycle;-

"Prayer"

Living God,
we thank you for all workers by hand or by brain,
especially for those whose jobs we have not named.
We pray for workers
who are excluded, marginalised or forgotten,
workers from home,
cleaners who leave the office
before the day begins,
workers at night,
workers in forgotten places,
people excluded from work altogether:
include them, God,
in your all-embracing love,
let them enjoy
your universal justice.
