Prayer from the Occupational Cycle;-

"Prayer"

We pray for ship and aircraft officers, air traffic planners and controllers:
maybe our prayers are a bit more fervent
when we're just about to board a plane or a ferry:
but we pray here and now just the same,
remembering a group of people
whose lives are stretched
all over the world,
whose shift patterns are difficult.
May they find some home,
some fixed place, some anchorage and security
among all this motion.
