Christ the teacher,
We pray for all whose job
it is
To bring out the best in us:
And those who seem to have to bear
the struggle
With what is worst in us.
We pray for teachers in schools
Where
few people want to learn.
Give them strength to cope with daily stress.
We
thank you for the keepers of knowledge
In libraries and universities
Who
love to share that knowledge with everyone.
Give to all teachers the
strength
To keep the vision alive.

Spirit of Truth,
we pray for academic
researchers,
and all who work to discover
what is true, or real.
Cures
for illness or causes of war-
all the world is crying out to be known.
Help
researchers to work with integrity
as they explore and discover
and
communicate their findings.
And as all the world wants to be known,
may
all the world know its Creator.
