South Yorkshire Workplace Chaplaincy

Could you be a Workplace Chaplain?

We are seeking more people to join our team of volunteer workplace chaplains. We have a number of chaplaincy vacancies in manufacturing, retailing, the Fire and Rescue service and the Police Service.

If you are interested in sharing in people's daily journey, exploring the meaning of the Christian gospel in relation to the world of work, and would like the opportunity of developing a challenging and rewarding ministry of Workplace Chaplaincy, we would like to hear from you.

You would be joining an ecumenical team of twenty Volunteer Workplace Chaplains, women and men who are both lay and ordained and you would need to be able to give at least a half a day every two weeks. No experience is necessary but you will need to demonstrate an ability to connect the Christian faith with the everyday would of work. Full training and support is provided.

More details of what a chaplain would be expected to do can be found here.

For further information about workplace chaplaincy and what we are looking for in potential chaplains, please contact Capt. Christopher Chesters CA (Senior Chaplain) at the SYWC office.
